Colorado Ballet Looks to Unionize
A November 11 article in the Rocky Mountain Times notes that,
Colorado Ballet dancers have begun the process of joining the American Guild of Musical Artists. A petition was filed Nov. 4 by AGMA with the National Labor Relations Board requesting company representation "for purposes of collective bargaining." Board of Trustees co-Chair James Ruh said the two representatives will make a presentation during a board meeting on Tuesday. Ruh voiced support for the move to unionize, which comes a month after the firing of Artistic Director Martin Fredmann.
