Miami City Ballet hires advertising agency

The South Florida Business Journal reports that,
“The dance group has named Turbulence Advertising to help it prepare for its upcoming 2006-2007 season and several changes, including a move to the Miami Performing Arts Center (MPAC) later this year.
Turbulence didn't give details of its plans, except to say the work it is developing signals a dramatic change in the way cultural organizations - such as arts, theater and dance companies - have marketed themselves in the past and how they will market themselves in the future.”
It looks as if Miami City is taking its future and growth very seriously and has gone straight to the top; Turbulence has built quite the reputation for itself. In a recent article Create Magazine said this about Turbulence Advertising,
It's taken Turbulence barely a year to start making a lot of noise in their own backyard, and with almost $11 million in first-year billings, they're making an awful lot of noise. Coming up with fresh new ideas takes talent, commitment and drive. Something the team at Turbulence has in droves. So it comes to no surprise that in just over a year these guys have amassed some of the industry's most regarded awards. Clients have also taken notice, as the agency has racked up an impressive amount of new business wins in their first year and the phone continues to ring. Besides the Addy's, the work has been recognized by the New York Festival, then 14 Davey Awards and now, they're adding another 35 ADDY awards to their belt this week.
